The first stop-over along the Via Mercatorum is Lonno, a charming hamlet in the municipality of Nembro. In the square next to the church, Alba pizzeria restaurant has been here since 1990. Giordano, the cook, and Vito, the pizza maker, welcome you in a very special place where the political preferences of the managers are highlighted. Kidding, but not too much, Vito declares that “it is the only place where anarchists and communists get along well”. We can say that, regardless of political beliefs or tendencies, here the welcome is warm and jovial, the ideal place to stay in company also thanks to the large tables that somewhat remind us of the mountain refuge. The restaurant is open every evening from Wednesday to Sunday and every day in summer. The restaurant, on request, offers game, venison, wild boar, cooked shoulder with taragna polenta from Scalve Valley, as well as various types of dishes belonging to our tradition and not, such as paella.
